Can I take my dog in my truck on a ferry?

P&O Ferries
P&O Ferries will only accept pet shipments on the following grounds:
- The pets belong to the driver of the vehicle and there are no more than 3 pets on board the vehicle (cats, dogs or ferrets) OR,
- The customer shipping the pets is an approved pet shipper.

Please find below some clarification on the carriage of dogs/cats on our French route.
Dublin – Cherbourg
Individual kennels: Kennels have to be booked in advance and there is a charge per kennel (please see pricing below).
Vehicle adapted for the carriage of animals: Advance notification so the booking can be correctly updated but no charge for kennels.
Cherbourg – Dublin
Individual kennels: Kennels have to be booked in advance and there is a charge per kennel (see pricing below).
Vehicle adapted for the carriage of animals: Due to additional paperwork requirements for the import of dogs/cats into Ireland, kennels must be allocated per animal and charged according (please see pricing below).
