In addition to our earlier message where we informed that the Passenger Locator Form is mandatory as of 22nd January, we have received an update from the UK Border Force that a 100% check will be carried out of all passenger locator forms with immediate effect.
To minimize any potential delays of arriving freight drivers at Killingholme and Harwich we need your cooperation. We therefore kindly ask you to make sure that your drivers’ completed passenger locator form is forwarded to the UKBF (UK Border Force) before the arrival to the UK, preferable directly after check-in at Hoek van Holland or Europoort.
Please be aware that fines (up to £ 500) are applicable for not showing the proper documents for the driver when entering into the UK. As a carrier we will receive a fine for £ 2000 for transporting a passenger into the UK and who does not have a proof of a completer Locator Form. We are not prepared to take such a penalty.
- For drivers travelling to Killingholme the completed passenger locator form or the confirmation mail you have received has to be mailed to BFImminghamMFT@homeoffice.gov.uk
- For drivers travelling to Harwich the completed passenger locator form or the confirmation mail you have received has to be mailed borderforceharwich@homeoffice.gov.uk
We appreciate your extra effort in facilitating these UK Government instructions.
