We would like to announce that from 15 August 2018 the route from Gdynia to Nynäshamn was strengthened by the new larger ship, Vikingland, a ro-ro unit, which has replaced Bore Bay and which will add 30% extra freight capacity to the route. Two ferry routes from Gdynia
Stena Line operates two services out of Gdynia; to Karlskrona and to Nynäshamn. The Karlskrona route already has more than 20 years of history. The freight ferry route to Nynäshamn (close to Stockholm) started on 16 October 2017.Vikingland replaces Bore Bay
The Stena Line connection to Nynäshamn was operated by a roro unit Bore Bay. Due to schedule changes on the Irish Sea and the North Sea, Bore Bay from now on will operate on another route and Gdynia- Nynäshamn will be served by Vikingland.30% more capacity for loads
Vikingland is a roro ship, built in Finland, sailing under the British flag. The new vessel offers as much as 2,170 lane metres for loads. Thanks to this, the freight capacity of the new Stena Line connection to Nynäshamn is increased by 30%. Therefore we can now offer a larger cargo capacity to our freight customers and thus respond to the growing demand for freight on this route.52 departures a week
At the same time Stena Line is also investing in the Gdynia-Karlskrona route. Already in October a new ferry will be added to the route - Stena Nordica, which has capacity for both freight and passenger transport. Together with six departures on the new ferry route to Nynäshamn and 46 to Karlskrona, we will from October offer a record number of 52 departures per week between Gdynia and Sweden, with five ferries.Stena Line ferry route from Gdynia to Nynäshamn
