Stena Line introduces a major boost in choice and capacity for freight customers and passengers on their Rosslare-Cherbourg route with the addition of Stena Vision.
The addition of Stena Vision to the Ireland-France route provides a significant increase in capacity alongside their existing vessel on the route, Stena Horizon.
Stena Vision is scheduled to begin service in June 2023 and she will increase the frequency on the route to six departures a week in each direction. Stena Line will then provide the shortest, quickest and most frequent ferry service to and from Ireland and the European Continent.
With the addition of this ship they will be doubling their sailing frequency and adding an extra 20% freight capacity.
The introduction of the Stena Vision is welcome news for the freight sector, which has seen demand grow for direct services to France from hauliers since Brexit. Stena Vision will also increase driver accompanied capacity with more cabin space for freight drivers.
Stena Vision will come fresh from the Baltic Sea, where she is currently operating on the busy Swedish-Polish Karlskrona to Gdynia route.
She will be replaced on this route by Stena Line’s new larger E-Flexer Stena Ebba early next year.
