Stena Line has released a statement:
Please be advised - owing to a technical problem the Stena Mersey has been withdrawn from service. As a result there will be a restricted services this week on the Belfast / Birkenhead route.
The 0330hrs services from Birkenhead and the 1530hr services from Belfast are CANCELLED ALL WEEK.
The Stena Forecaster will operate on the following schedule to carry unaccompanied traffic:
- 1030 ex Belfast
- 2230 ex Birkenhead
Anyone with driver accompanied traffic on the affected departures are advised to contact us to seek alternative crossings on our Belfast / Cairnryan or Dublin / Holyhead services.
We apologize for any inconvenience this will be causing to yourselves and your customers and thank you for your understanding and patience.
Please be advised – from 29th July until further notice the 22:00hrs departures on Monday evenings from both Belfast and Birkenhead are retimed to 21:30hrs.
Normal Check-in Times will apply.
- Accompanied Units – 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
- Unaccompanied Units - 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
- Hazardous Units - 180 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
