As you may be a aware, we are able to ship most classes of dangerous goods on our ferry routes.
All hazardous shipments must comply with the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code which differs from the ADR agreement (AKA, the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) and IATA Regulations (Air).
For transport by sea all dangerous goods, irrespective of quantity and weight, must be declared. All dangerous goods must be accompanied by a Dangerous Goods Note (DGN). The driver is responsible for ensuring the correct paperwork accompanies the load, including the packing certificate and declaration sections which must be fully completed prior to arrival at port.
