The French authorities are introducing new rules for Covid-19 test requirements on Monday 18 January. This message is to confirm that freight drivers will NOT be affected by the new rules.
The French requirements haven’t changed for hauliers and they still require to see a proof that drivers have tested negative for Coronavirus following a rapid/antigenic flow tests (taken within 72 hours of travel).
Currently, there are NO requirements for hauliers to present a negative PCR test, and unless drivers have a valid negative test, they are requested to visit the testing facilities at Manston Airport, where they perform the rapid/antigenic flow test, before proceeding to Dover Port.
We have capacity to meet all your freight demand and on our Dover ⇌ Calais route, we’re operating to schedule. Freight drivers arriving with the correct paperwork are being shipped on arrival.
As always, we will keep you informed if anything changes.
