As of 13 January 2020, all heavy transport vehicles in Helsinki’s West Harbour will be directed to arrive to the harbour via Tyynenmerenkatu. In the future both arrival to and departure from the harbour will be via the intersection of Rionkatu and Tyynenmerenkatu.
Inform your Drivers
Please inform your drivers about the changed driving routes. Notice that heavy vehicles are no longer allowed to drive via Länsisatamankatu to the harbour area.
No Waiting areas for Heavy Transports
There are no longer any waiting areas for heavy transport vehicles. Instead, cargo vehicles and trailers are admitted to the harbour in time windows of a few hours each. Cargo units will wait for embarkation in the fields of the harbour’s closed quay area. Please note also, that no parking is allowed anywhere in the whole Jätkäsaari area.
New Cargo Check-in from Monday 13 January
Inside the harbour area, new cargo check-in gates and waiting lanes will be placed in the quay area. Cargo check-in will be moved to its new location on Monday 13 January starting from departure at 07:30.
