Freightlink is supporting our SEO Manager, Stephen, in his 60 mile Trans Pennine cycle challenge for Cancer Research UK.
On Sunday 18th September, Stephen will be one of around 500 riders cycling from Manchester to Leeds with Challenge Cancer Cycle.
Starting at Heaton Park in Manchester, the ride is divided 4 sections
- 11 miles to rest stop 1 - Wardle Academy in Smallbridge
- Then, a rapid climb to the 33 mile mark at rest stop 2 - Victoria Hall & Park in Keighley
- Continuing north onto Ilkley Moor with another uphill push at the 48 mile mark to rest stop 3 St Mary's in Menston
- Finally, a downhill run into Temple Newsam Park in Leeds, completing the 60 miles.
It's going to be tough(!) but all for a fantastic cause.
"In the UK today 1 in 3 people will be affected by cancer. The work to help prevent, diagnose, support those in challenging times and develop new treatments is all essential in reducing this number. This September Challenge Cancer is looking to raise £1million."
