DFDS & P&O Ferries have entered into a mutual freight space agreement on the Dover ⇄ Calais ferry route to shorten freight customer waiting times and improve the flow of freight traffic between the UK and EU this summer.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR CUSTOMERS?
This summer, it doesn’t matter if you book P&O Ferries or DFDS (excluding Dunkerque). Freight customers will be able to board the next available sailing from Dover or Calais.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
SIMPLE - THERE IS NO CHANGE TO THE FREIGHTLINK BOOKING PROCESS!
Check-in with the ferry operator you have booked with and travel on the next available sailing with P&O Ferries or DFDS.
HOW DOES THIS BENEFIT ME?
Freight customers can get the next departing ferry*, taking advantage of up to 70 sailings a day and a departure every 36 minutes. It will also cut the waiting time at port by up to 30 minutes.
