DFDS have provided an update to the continued disruption on the Eastern Channel routes;
Due to the disruption caused by French authorities, we continue to experience extended waiting times and high volumes of freight traffic in Calais and Dunkerque. To support our freight customers as much as we possibly can during this situation which is out of our control, we will operate a service of "Load and Go" this will result in there being no timed schedule and will support us in providing an increased number of departures during today.
Calais
Border controls have no started to carry out checks for import traffic, which is having an impact on disembarking. (So, traffic arriving from Dover). Freight traffic is still very busy with extended waiting times.
