In preparation for the reintroduction of the Sheerness<>Calais service we would like to take the opportunity to remind you of the following details.

When delivering or collecting a trailer in Sheerness, the following documentation must be made available :

An "unaccompanied trailer shipment form" must be completed an presented along with the drivers ID (Passport or driving licence)  at the security gate to gain entry to the Port of Sheerness.

When delivering a trailer for shipment all customs import /export documentation to be made available at the DFDS check-in booth.

UPDATE 09/03/2022

We are pleased to confirm that the Botnia Seaways is now on its way to us and will be fully prepared to enter service on Monday 14th March and the first sailing being the 23:59 from Calais.

UPDATE 28/02/2022

Following the announcement on the 23rd February, confirming the reinstatement of the Calais<>Sheerness unaccompanied service on Monday 14th March with the first sailing being the 23:59 from Calais on that date; we would like to inform you that we will start taking delivery of trailers in Sheerness Port for shipment to Calais from 06:30 hrs on Saturday 12th March. Delivery of trailers in Calais Port for shipment to Sheerness is available as usual as Calais Port remains open.

Please be reminded that unaccompanied trailers loaded with hazardous goods must NOT be left standing in the UTP exceeding 12 hours.

Following the announcement on the 7th February, confirming the reinstatement of the Calais<>Sheerness unaccompanied service, we are pleased to announce that the Botnia Seaways will be our new dedicated vessel operating on this route.

The teams are now working very hard to get the Botnia Seaways prepared to enter service with a start date of Monday 14th March and the first sailing being the 23:59 from Calais on that date.

Calais <> Sheerness Schedule

• Departs Sheerness : Tuesday - Sunday  11:00 hrs
• Departs Calais : Monday - Saturday 23:59 hrs 

We will continue to temporarily operate an unaccompanied services between Calais and Dover exclusively for our existing Calais <> Sheerness unaccompanied shipping customers, with a view to ceasing this service in line with the reinstatement of the Calais<>Sheerness route.
