In light of the new omicron variant of Covid, and increased measures being taken across the UK and Channel Islands, Condor Freight are re-implementing the requirement for a negative PCR test result within 48 hours of departure from any port when travelling on Commodore Goodwill. This will come into force from the Goodwill departure from Portsmouth tomorrow, Wednesday 1st December.
This is to protect our crew from any infection on our lifeline service.
In addition, the States of Guernsey has re-imposed the need to purchase a 5 pack of Lateral Flow Tests on every arrival, payable on completion of the travel tracker for each individual, regardless of which vessel you travel on. This comes into force tonight at midnight with all drivers being required to test on arrival and every second day thereafter.
I appreciate that this impacts financially so should you wish to discuss shipping unaccompanied at any stage, please let me know.
Both of these measures will remain in place for an undetermined period of time.
Thank you for your understanding in this continued period of uncertainty.
